Credible research is important to promote public trust in science and scientists, and to use the knowledge to understand and help people of all backgrounds. Yet, the reproducibility crisis facing many scientific disciplines–including psychology–has challenged the credibility of psychological research. Open science is a movement that aims to promote to transparency, yet, the movement has not considered the perspectives of researchers, research participants, and research questions related to multiculturalism and ethnic minority psychology/cultural diversity science.
