Each year the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) at the University of Washington hosts a variety of professional, social, and outreach events to support students affiliated with the UW Aeronautics and Astronautics Department. This year this will include professional events such as Aerospace on Campus with Aviation Week, regional and national AIAA conferences, local AIAA banquets and luncheons, quarterly free social events, mentorship programs, and Space Ball. To participate in any of these events, keep an eye out for AIAA newsletter emails, announcements on the department discord, or attend our monthly all-student meetings.

As a student body organization, we are excited to organize and bring you these events, but we also need your support. Each year we elect 6 new juniors into officer positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Outreach Coordinator, and Historian). If you’re a junior this year please consider a leadership position with AIAA, if you’re a sophomore we encourage you to participate in events and to become an officer in the future.
