I work as an Assistant Teaching Professor in UW HCDE since Winter 2023. I love teaching and mentoring on design & research methods. I have been teaching intro level BS courses (HCDE 210, 300, 318) and qualitative research methods courses in HCDE (BS HCDE 412, MS HCDE 519, PhD HCDE 545).

I also work on departmental outreach efforts in HCDE. Here are my K-12 outreach related directed research groups for HCDE students.

I am NOT looking to mentor additional PhD students at this time. I will not be responding to emails regarding this.

I expect students I work with to honor time commitments.

My research work is in mental health and I have amazing collaborators and mentors at UW & UCI who make my work fulfilling and fun. Prior to this, I worked as a postdoc in Dr. Gillian Hayes’ STAR lab in the Department of Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. I completed my PhD in Human Centered Design and Engineering (HCDE) at the University of Washington, Seattle in Dec 2020. I was co-advised by Dr. Julie Kientz and Dr. Sean Munson. I completed my Master’s in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta) in May 2015.
