As of the date of this Tip’s publication, UW IT plans to roll out Canvas’ New Rich Content Editor on December 28th, with the option to try it out any time before then. This is a good thing: the new editor boasts a number of welcome improvements with few challenging interface changes. Collecting mid-term feedback from your students about their learning experience is a quick method to gain insights about your class that will help you make meaningful change within the same term. This is an invaluable practice for any class, but particularly during the challenging times of Coronavirus.
There are many approaches to feedback and correction, some more complicated than others, but a basic four-step process is simple enough to allow you to move quickly: decide on your questions, create the feedback mechanism, consider the feedback, and implement the changes.
