Research
Justin received his PhD from UC San Diego in 2005, where he worked on crystal and cryo-EM structures of proteins important in blood clotting in the laboratory of Prof. Russell Doolittle. In his postdoctoral work at UC San Francisco with Prof. David Agard he determined the structures of microtubule nucleating complexes using cryo-EM. He joined the Dept. of Anatomy & Cell BIology at McGill in 2012, where his lab focused on the structural biology of cellular organization in bacteria. Justin joins UW Biochemistry as an assistant professor on September 1, 2014.
