Senior Engineer, Civil/Environmental: Remediation and Waste Management

RIDOLFI Inc. is an award-winning environmental consulting firm seeking a senior engineer for remediation projects in Washington and Alaska. Our senior engineer will be part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers that provides evaluation, design, and consultation for environmental cleanup and restoration. This position will develop client relationships and lead technical and field teams to implement and execute projects.

The successful candidate will have a degree in civil engineering, professional engineering license, CERCLA experience, and at least 15 years of experience in the western United States. An exceptional client service ethic and willingness to contribute to overall company success is key. The successful candidate will manage the evaluation, design, and implementation of remediation projects. Some travel in Washington and Alaska will be required.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in investigating and re-mediating contaminated sites in the western US
  • BS degree in civil engineering plus 15 years’ relevant experience, or MS degree in engineering and 12 years’ relevant experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Experience with USEPA CERCLA actions and application of state cleanup regulations.
  • Strong leadership ability and communication skills
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour certification

Duties:

  • Serve as the project manager and lead engineer in planning and implementation of cleanup and restoration projects
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to assess project site conditions, direct environmental sampling efforts, provide engineering analysis and calculations, develop conceptual and detailed designs, estimate construction and cleanup costs, observe remedial activities, and assist in development of monitoring systems.
  • Serve as a technical specialist, analyze problem areas, and conceive of solutions of considerable scope and complexity.
  • Develop and assume responsibility for project scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
  • Support marketing efforts, maintain client relationships, develop proposals, and identify new opportunities
  • Be familiar with USEPA regulations and guidance related to CERCLA site investigations, remedial design, and cleanup.
  • Have a strong work ethic, great attention to detail, and ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
  • Exercise good judgement and demonstrate the ability to work well with teams.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in developing feasibility studies, remedial designs, and remedial actions
  • Conduct project management proficiently and effectively.
  • Execute assignments that have specific objectives and require the ability to analyze complex conditions and develop creative and long-term solutions.
  • Understand and adhere to regulatory guidance, established requirements, professional standards, quality standards, and best management practices.
