A vacancy announcement for a Physical Scientist Student Trainee GS-1399-07/09 or Recent Graduate GS-1301-09/11 opened today and will close on October 28, 2019 (or when there are 70 applicants, whichever comes first). This position will be part of the USGS Wyoming-Montana Water Science Center‘s Geospatial Analysis Unit of the Groundwater and Surface Water Section.
The Geospatial Analysis Unit conducts research that includes high-performance computing, spatiotemporal visualization, workflow automation, and exploratory analysis. The Geospatial Analysis Unit also works on USGS projects at a variety of scales throughout the Center, Region, and Nation.
