Hello CEE majors,
We want to remind you that the 16th annual CEE Career Fair is happening in just under two weeks – mark your calendars for Thursday, January 27, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. This fair will be held virtually, via the platform Handshake.
Student registration opens on Thursday, January 20. We will send another email next week with a reminder and registration link.
There are currently 52 companies registered to attend with group and 1:1 interview sessions available. A list of attending companies is attached here.
Regardless of your class standing, we strongly encourage you to research companies that align with your interests and attend the fair. Even if you are not currently looking for a job or internship, gaining interview experience and learning about companies that hire CEE students will be valuable as you move through our program and eventually enter the job market.
Preparing for the CEE Career Fair
- Attend the Career & Internship Center’s Virtual Career Fair 101 workshop. This workshop is next Thursday, January 20, from 2:30-3:20pm.
- Visit the Career & Internship Center’s webpage on preparing for virtual career fairs – see how the structure of your day will look, how to navigate Handshake, and get tips for success.
- Last year, Gail and Michael from the Career Center @ Engineering recorded a Career Fair Prep workshop for engineering students – watch that recording here.
- Additional CC@E Resources:
- Individual 15- and 30-minute appointments: Ask CC@E any questions about seeking positions, exploring careers or anything that comes to mind.
- Resumes and Cover Letter Review: Send an email to engrhire@uw.edu with the relevant attachments and CC@E will provide feedback.
If you are interested in a company that you don’t see, let us know! We would be happy to reach out to them on your behalf, and as always, let us know if you have any questions about the fair.
