Our office is located at Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor near Silverdale, Washington. We provide environmental compliance oversight of several Navy installations and facilities in the Northwest Region.
Our environmental engineers provide environmental program support and technical assistance to Northwest Navy commands in order to ensure and maintain their compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and policies. This support includes conducting environmental surveys and studies, preparing technical plans and reports; and providing compliance oversight. In addition to performing environmental studies and preparing environmental documentation directly, our engineers may also manage contracts that provide these services. NAVFAC Northwest environmental engineers manage one or more of the following program areas: stormwater, wastewater, spill prevention and response, drinking water quality, air quality, hazardous waste management, environmental restoration, Toxic Substances Control, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act program compliance, and underground storage tank management. Preference for this position is for someone interested in environmental data management and analysis using a variety of electronic tools.
