I am reaching out on behalf of Tunista Construction, LLC about an internship opportunity for a motivated student interested in gaining hands on experience and career opportunities in the Civil Engineering or Construction Management fields.

As a former student and graduate of the CEE program at the University of Washington, I am excited to offer an internship opportunity at the Rainier Beach High School Replacement Project in Seattle. Tunista Construction broke ground in September and is partnering with the owner and general contractor for the Civil Package on this multi-phase project including all Earthwork, TESC, Utility Installations, and MEP and Structural Excavations.

The project is a short commute from the UW Seattle campus and offers flexible work hours, 20+ hours per week, through the school year based on academic needs of the student. Jobsite hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm. Interns will need to provide their own transportation and safety toed work boots.

A successful applicant will be directly involved in the construction management processes and gain exposure to the means and methods, equipment, and materials for a variety of scopes of work while working directly with the Project Managers and Superintendent on site. This position has the potential to lead to a full-time summer internship and career opportunities with the company as well.
