On Friday, 12/2 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, members of the CEE community will visit the Ash Grove Cement Plant (see attached fact sheet) and Stoneway Concrete batch plant that is “next door”. Concrete is the most commonly used building material in the world. This is a great opportunity to see the process used to manufacture cement, the primary ingredient in concrete, at Ash Grove and then walk next door to see the process used to design, proportion and mix concrete for a variety of projects (pavement, buildings, residential construction, etc.).
