Free Structural Engineering Career Workshops + Job Fair

The Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC) would like to assist students in preparing for and finding internships and jobs at companies in the Bay Area.

SEAONC is offering a series of workshops to assist students with resume and interview preparation, in addition to hosting a virtual structural engineering career fair.  Participation for the students is free and will come with a free SEAONC membership.

The Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M
University is pleased to invite applications to its GAANN program in “Infrastructure
Resilience in the Context of Advanced Construction Methods” supported by the
Department of Education. Advanced construction methods, such as concrete 3D
printing, offer a range of advantages including construction rapidity, lower
environmental impacts, potentially lower construction costs, and, if properly designed,

Applications are now open for the University of Washington Future Rivers graduate training program for the next cohort year beginning Autumn quarter 2022!

Please help spread the word and encourage any prospective (incoming fall quarter 2022) or current PhD or Masters students in any discipline at the University of Washington to apply.

Future Rivers is an NSF-funded graduate training program building skills in data science, science communication, and social justice to bridge work across all fields to better solve today’s freshwater sustainability challenges.

ECE’s Graduate Programs Virtual Information Sessions – TOMORROW Nov 18th, 9:00 am and 5:00 pm

Have you ever considered graduate school?  If so, The University of Washington’s Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) MS and/or Ph.D. programs in Seattle, WA may be of interest to you! Please join us for our upcoming ECE Graduate Programs Info Session. We will have faculty, a current Ph.D. student jopin us at 5 p.m., as well as an Academic Advisor participating to discuss ECE’s daytime graduate programs, preparation, the application process, research areas, and funding. Just a reminder that Steve Muench, Joe Mahoney and Rachel Pearson will conduct a short career fair preparation session 12:30 – 1:20 p.m. today (October 27th) in Mueller 153. This is to prepare you for the construction career expo fair that is happening now, with the in-person fair on November 8th. Come with questions. More information is down below. See you soon

Information about the SEBA career fair and registration can be found below. Registration is now open to all students.

Good morning,

Registration for the 10/13 “Science & Engineering Career Fair” is now open to all UW students (both undergrad & grad) as well as UW alumni. Co-hosted by SEBA and the Career Center @ Engineering (CC@E), this virtual event in Handshake will connect over 130 employers with our students for both internships & full-time roles. Students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives one-on-one and/or in a group session throughout the fair, and we encourage students to check the event page often, as employer schedules/availability are changing daily.
