Internship Opportunity for UW Students—WSDOT Transportation

Hi all,

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is encouraging civil engineering students interested in transportation (including first-year students and sophomores) to apply for this internship that can last 1–3 years, with work that continues to diversify as the intern continues working at WSDOT. Interns would have a direct hand on Puget Sound and Western Washington traffic through the use of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) equipment (messaging signs, cameras, real time traffic data, etc.). Interns would also have time outside the TMC to work on projects of their own input. In the past, interns have worked on corridor ramp meter improvements, detailed traffic maps, and innovative data collection methods through the SQL Server.
WSDOT plans to close the application period on Saturday, October 22. In addition, I have been informed that WSDOT does not have a set limit on the number of interns they plan to hire. As such, a high chance of getting a position exists as long as you put your best foot forward.

Please see the attached flyer for instructions on how to apply.

Campus Architecture & Planning Space Management Internship

Attention Students,

Internship opportunity:

This one comes from a friend in Campus Architecture & Planning so it happens right here at UW and will run from when they hire (end of month) through the end of the school year. So a chance to pick up some work and $$ right now. If you read the description it says “preferably in architecture or construction management”, but this was forwarded to me specifically to advertise to you all in CEE. They also prefer you. Trust me.
