Summer job opportunity for undergraduate students w/ CEE RAPID facility

The CEE RAPID facility is looking to hire a 40-hr per week undergraduate assistant for the summer. The job is appropriate for undergraduates at all levels (freshmen -> seniors).

Hiring: SAFS Undergraduate Research Assistant- Apply by June 10

Dear Students,

Undergraduate Research Assistant, starting June 2022. Interest in algal-zooplankton-microbe ecological research (laboratory Closed Ecological Systems), comfortable with basic inorganic chemistry (molar quantities) some simple gas laws, and computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EndNote, and some statistics.  Will gain expertise in algal and Daphnia culture techniques; sterilization procedures (autoclaving), complex chemically defined media; experimental design, general laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and (lots of) dishwashing.   Must be able to lift 35 pounds.  Preference for a student with more than one year of time left at UW Seattle and available summer 2022. Approximately 10 hours/week, $17.50/hr to start.

Part Time Job Opportunity w/ PNSN

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, located on the first floor of the Atmospheric Sciences building (ATG) on UW Seattle campus is looking for an Electronics Shop Student. This is a part time position with flexible hours.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network is the regional seismic network for Washington and Oregon and maintains 500+ seismic stations in the region. As such, there is a lot of electronics shop work, field work, and data work that needs to be done to install new stations and maintain and monitor current stations. This is a part time position located in the Atmospheric Sciences building on UW Seattle Campus. It has flexible hours and the option to work full-time during the summer. Tutoring Job Opportunity @ EAC

Open TA Position: CEE 317 GeoSurveying in AUT21

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is currently accepting applications for the position of an undergraduate TA  for CEE 317 “GeoSurveying” in Autumn Quarter 2021.

The position requires assistance with the labs on T.  1:30 to 4:20,  W. 10:30 to 1:20,  Th. 1:30 to 4:20 and F. 8:30 to 11:30. lab instructions are given by the instructor. The TA will be responsible for sanitizing and checking the equipment out and back in, responding to student questions as they work regarding lab procedures, and making sure that equipment remains functioning during the lab.
