Duties
Some of what you’ll do:

  • Review and analyze proposed cleanup action plans, highlighting any areas of deficiency or concern.
  • Analyze final cleanup action reports and exercise independent decision-making authority to prepare written opinions regarding project completion.
  • Notify site owners of further steps necessary to move projects toward closure.
  • Perform site visits to observe projects in progress and ensure appropriate environmental cleanup practices are employed.
  • Meet with consultants, owners, third party administrators, and other stakeholders to resolve concerns/issues and promote good communication.
  • Maintain project records, databases, and tracking systems.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
A Bachelor’s degree involving major study in environmental, physical, or one of the natural sciences, environmental planning or other allied field
AND
Two years of professional level experience in environmental analysis or control or environmental planning.

* Additional qualifying experience will substitute, year for year, for education.
* A Master’s degree in one of the above fields will substitute for one year of the required experience.

OR

A Ph.D. in one of the above fields.

OR

One year of experience as an Environmental Specialist 2.
