Welcome to the Childhood Identity and Learning Lab! The CHILLAB is headed by Dr. Dario Cvencek at the University of Washington’s Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences.
The CHILLAB studies the different ways in which children interpret and interact with their identity and how that influences their learning. Our research includes studies on implicit and explicit biases in preschool and elementary school-aged children relating to social identities, self-esteem, STEM attitudes, and race. Here on our website, you can learn more about our research, access loads of free resources for parents and educators, and even participate in online studies from home!
