The first month of life can be a critical time for a baby’s health. During this neonatal period, new mothers may have questions and concerns about their baby. Providing remote, on-demand support for women could help save babies’ lives.

CHV-NEO is a two-way SMS messaging program connecting pregnant women and new mothers with community health volunteers. The CHV-NEO R01 Study is a cluster-randomized control trial in western Kenya focused on designing and integrating CHV-NEO into the current health system, and testing both its clinical effectiveness and implementation outcomes.
