Two of my faculty in Community Psychology got back to me to say that they played around with the database and think that it would be very useful for their Research Methods and Intro to Community Psych classes. Thanks for arranging the trial. Let me know if you’d like more information.
While teaching at another institution, i used this database extensively within the context of my research methods courses. Students regularly accessed the database and incorporated its materials in their research proposals and projects. It is an invaluable resource for students. I have also relied on this database in my own research endeavors and hope that UW will strongly consider purchasing the full rights.
This would be a great resource for my own research as well as for the students in the research and statistics courses I teach.
This would be a great resource for the students in the MN program. It would give them a place to quickly find resources that supplement their text & what I can offer them in class.
I could see this being a particularly useful resource for M.Ed. students at UWB, as well as those working on their completion dossier projects. Students enrolled in BEDUC 501, for example, are asked to design a hypothetical research project/study; while they are of course discussing it in class, many have never done a project like this before and need a fair amount of extra guidance/support. It’d be nice to have a comprehensive resource such as this to point them to.
