NEW content: JSTOR Arts & Sciences X and XI

The Libraries now has access to both the JSTOR Arts & Sciences X and XI collections. Arts and Sciences X is being purchased in cooperation with the Faculty Council on University Libraries, which in March 2011 gained the Faculty Senate’s unanimous approval of a resolution to establish the Faculty Fund for Library Excellence, described as “ a University gift fund available for current and emeritus faculty donors to support the University Libraries’ collections.” JSTOR Arts & Sciences X is an especially appropriate use of funds donated so far because of its broad coverage in Business and the Social Sciences, the History of Science, Technology & Medicine.

Arts & Sciences XI is being acquired with Libraries’ funds, and “ will expand JSTOR’s coverage in the humanities, with scholarship in core fields of Language & Literature, History, and Art & Art History. Comprising a minimum of 125 titles, the collection will  include important journals in Classical Studies, Architecture & Architectural History, and Music. Other discipline clusters will include Bibliography, Library Science, Religion, Philosophy, Archaeology, Performing Arts, Film Studies, and Linguistics.

Access is available now.  Records for individual titles are in process and will be available in a few weeks.
