COMPASSION IN SCIENCE

ANTHONY “TONY” GRAY

Tony has over 30 years of biomedical experience that includes premier animal care and welfare and maintaining the day-to-day operations of animal research facilities. He has had the privilege to work for some outstanding institutions that have included Morehouse School of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dartmouth College and his favorite, the University Of Washington. Tony feels being a part of the Compassion Fatigue committee is another highlight of his work! Compassion fatigue is a reality within our field and Tony is happy it is being addressed and he feels that if we all work together (management, investigators, research techs, animal techs), we can be more compassionate to what many of us may be experiencing.

Tony has a heartwarming reminder for us all in his letter, Care for the Care Givers.
