Overview
The Infant Development Follow-up Clinic (IDFC) at UW Medical Center provides care for children from birth to age 5 who are at high risk for developmental problems due to prematurity, low birth weight or prenatal exposure to drugs.
The goal is to provide early identification and referral for early intervention for children at risk for neurodevelopmental and neurobehavioral problems. A team of experts work together to assess each child’s health and development and connect families with resources if problems are found.
IDFC clinic occurs every Wednesday with an end of day IDFC debrief meeting.
Location
IDFC is located at the Center for Human Development and Disabilities (CHDD) building at UW Medical Center. Room number is CD221.
It is recommended that you bike, bus, or take the SCH shuttle to IDFC as parking at the garage can be pricey. If taking the shuttle, you may park at Seattle Children’s and then take the Gold Shuttle to UW Medical Center. If you choose to drive, please park at the S1 garage.
