2019 PhD GRADUATE PLACEMENTS
MOHAMMAD ARBABIAN has accepted an offer to join the University of Portland as an Assistant Professor at the Pamplin School of Business.
SHAHRYAR DOOSTI has accepted an offer to join Chapman University as an Assistant Professor at The George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics.
BEHNAZ GHAHESTANI BOJD has accepted an offer to join the University of California, Irvine as an Assistant Professor at the Paul Merage School of Business.

EMISA NATEGH received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant award (2019 EMBA North America Class 20) and the Dean’s Teaching Assistant Award.
SHAHRYAR DOOSTI passed his final exam on May 22, 2019. His presentation was titled “Essays on Economics of Online Platforms.”
MOHAMMAD ARBABIAN passed his final exam on May 24, 2019. His presentation was titled “Applications of Operations Management in Emerging Technologies.”

MSIS PROGRAM

MSIS had the privilege of welcoming Bob Bruns, Avanade CIO and CISO, as the keynote speaker for the Class of 2019 commencement ceremony early this June. Bob shared themes and lessons that have proved monumental to his professional and personal success, including being bold. “Being bold in our decisions both opens the door to great opportunities and teaches us what’s important.” MSIS is excited to see what bold decisions our new graduates make in their own careers!”

MSCM PROGRAM

MSCM co-sponsored the first ever CONNECT conference, bringing together supply chain leaders from across the region to discuss the future of supply chain. Student, Justin Gillebo, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting his MSCM experience. Foster MSCM students finished 2nd at the Neely School of Business invitational Supply Chain Case Competition. MSCM also spent a week in Germany on a supply chain study tour meeting with companies, welcomed the incoming class of 2020 with a new student mixer, and hosted a fireside chat with Starbucks Executive, Jacquelyn Howard.

MSCM finished the spring quarter with a Program Showcase. Eight teams presented supply chain solutions to partner companies including Puget Sound Energy, The Boeing Company, Expeditors, and Zones. Congratulations MSCM Class of 2019!
