We are a stem cell biology lab based at the University of Washington in the Division of Hematology. Our research is focused on the biology of human blood hematopoietic stem cells. We use umbilical cord blood and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) as sources of human hematopoietic stem cells. We seek to understand the basic mechanisms of stem cell biology and how these are perturbed in blood disorders, such as anemia or myelodysplasia. Read more
