Preparing EMAR for Field Study at Local High-School

emar

This week our research team was hard at work planning for the field study at a local high-school. We took both V1 and V2 of EMAR to the high school on Friday and discovered how students reacted to the robot. The research group received tech training and gained more knowledge regarding the wiring of EMAR from the technology team. The technology team also gave the other members access to the code on GitLab.

Teams Hard at Work for Two Versions of EMAR this Quarter

emar

With the start of the quarter, the team spent this week ramping up plans for the upcoming weeks of high school testing, reinforcing EMAR V2, and implementing V3.
We have been in contact with high schools in the area to set up research sessions with the plan to bring in two fully-functioning V2’s. While the research team conducts testing with V2 in high schools this quarter, the tech team will be hard at work constructing V3.

Preparation for High-School Test

emar

Welcome back! Even our busy team took a break for Thanksgiving, so this week was a catch-up and preparation week for the teamTesting has been finalized! We are going to a high-school in Seattle on Tuesday to test EMAR and get as much data as possible! Hopefully the experience will teach us about changes that need to be made in design and programming, as well as learn how teens interact with EMAR.
