What a productive quarter it has been! So many students doing such great work toward our Social Robot Design Challenge and the new iteration of EMAR.

Project EMAR: Usability Study Findings and a Sneak Peek at V4!

This week the whole group met to discuss and analyze the findings from the usability study and the feedback gathered from teens as a whole. The main pain points of the website were established, so the Web Team could focus on where to make iterations. Our findings showed difficulty with navigation, so the team began searching for a new site template to allow for more user-friendly navigation.

Project EMAR: Testing and Iteration is Underway!

In the last few weeks, the teams worked very hard to prepare the videos and website for testing and feedback. The first testing session was with the Math Science Leadership Program (MSL) at the University of Tacoma.

Project EMAR: Design Challenge Deliverables are Taking Shape!

The teams are working together to decide on a cohesive look (colors, fonts, etc) for the various artifacts involved in the Design Challenge, such as the website, instructional videos, posters and publicity.

Project EMAR: The Teams Make Progress!

Team Video has been hard at work designing informative videos for the students in the upcoming High School Design Challenge. The team is finalizing storyboards for the main four videos describing the Human-Centered Design process (research, ideation, prototyping, testing), making sure the videos are inclusive, working on images and spoken text, and finalizing content.
