OUR MISSION:
The Eye Club at UW aims to promote vision care awareness and philanthropy, and engage a diverse group of eye enthusiasts.
Our organization will discuss vision care on both a local and global scale. We will take part in various community events, such as the VisionWalk, along with fundraising for blind fighting charities. For our members, we have two meetings per month entailing a variety of activities. To give some perspective, we discuss research breakthroughs in the field of vision care/regeneration, how we perceive reality, how vision is different across species, and even perform dissections on cow eyes!
The Eye Club has opportunistic resources, regardless of your undergrad year. Whether you’re a senior eager to expand your conceptual idea of how vision plays a role in society, or you’re a freshman looking for a research lab, being a member of the Eye Club is an experience you don’t want to miss. One day, YOU could help the visually impaired see the world in a whole new way!
