Kathleen Pagulayan, PhD (Principal Investigator, PI)
Clinical Neuropsychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. She has over 18 years of experience conducting research related to outcomes after traumatic brain injury (TBI). This includes conducting clinical trials that investigated novel interventions for individuals with cognitive difficulties after mTBI as well as observational studies to understand to characterize the neural underpinnings and characteristics of persistent cognitive difficulties in individuals with a history of repeated mTBI. She is the lead author on the On-TRACC intervention manual, which was developed with support from a grant from from the Department of Defense (DoD).
Holly Rau, PhD (Research Manager)
Neuropsychologist and Research Scientist in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at University of Washington. She has worked with Dr. Pagulayan for more than six years, and is the current Manager for her large DoD grant. She brings expertise to this team in multiple areas, including TBI assessment and outcomes, psychotherapy interventions for Veterans with mTBI, management of clinical research studies, and advanced skills in data management and analysis. She is also an author on the On-TRACC intervention manual.
Anna Frauenheim, MPH (Research Coordinator)
Research scientist with a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology, involved with the On-TRACC study. She looks forward to learning about neuropsychology and enhancing her experience with data management & analysis, regulatory affairs, participant coordination, and contributing to manuscripts. With a background in Biomedical Engineering, Anna is excited to apply her creativity and analytic skills to clinical research and personalized care delivery. She is passionate about empowering individuals to overcome obstacles to better health and quality of life.
Clairiz Nel, MSc (Research Coordinator)
An aspiring Clinical Neuropsychology Doctorate student working on the On-TRACC study. Through collaboration on the On-TRACC study, she hopes to gain experience in clinical cognitive rehabilitation research, specifically learning the process of study and data management, regulatory procedures, data analysis and the process of publishing research. With her master’s degrees in Human Computer Interaction and Applied Clinical Neuropsychology, she aims to bridge the gap between behavioral medicine, digital health applications and mental health to innovate diagnostic and rehabilitation practices.

Senior at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME, studying Psychology and Digital & Computational Studies. Originally from Seattle, WA, Nick is passionate about psychology and neuroscience research, having previously interned at Seattle Children’s Research Institute.
