UW Film Club Podcast #7: Atonement

“So for this week, I wanted to give Robbie and Cecilia the podcast they lost out on in life.” — Join us as Stephanie Chuang brings one of her favorite films of all time: Atonement. This melodramatic tale follows Robbie and Cecilia: two lovers who become separated when Ceilia’s younger sister, Briony, falsely accuses Robbie of a serious crime. Bring the tissues for this one because it’s about to get emotional!

On this week’s episode: Stephanie Chuang, Louie Ghalib, and Greg Arietta.

UW Film Club Podcast #1: The Book of Henry

God dammit, Janice! How much longer does this podcast need to go on? What else do you need to hear?
This week UW Film Club co-president Greg Arietta brings the film Book of Henry to the podcast. It tells the story of a whiz kid named Henry, his neighbor suffering from abuse, his sudden death, and his mom’s choice to carry on his legacy by murdering the abuser using Henry’s meticulous plan. We discuss (okay, criticize) it for a long time because there’s just a lot going on in this movie to keep it sub one hour.
