WW Dissertation Fellowship in Women’s Studies

  • Supports dissertation completion in topics relating to gender and women’s studies
  • In the humanities and social sciences
  • Applicants must have completed all pre-dissertation requirements
  • Award of $5,000 fellowship for award year of September 1, 2022 – August 31, 2023

The WW (Woodrow Wilson) Dissertation Fellowship in Women’s Studies supports the final year of dissertation writing for Ph.D. candidates in the humanities and social sciences whose work addresses topics of women and gender in interdisciplinary and original ways.

The Board of Trustees of the WW National Fellowship Foundation has voted unanimously to rename the organization and to remove Woodrow Wilson from its name. The Board took this action because the racist policies and beliefs of Wilson are fundamentally incompatible with the Foundation’s values and work.
