American Indian Science and Engineering Society Scholarships

Application deadline: May 31, 2022

  • For American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, and Indigenous peoples of Canada
  • In science, technology, engineering, and math fields
  • Awards rang $2,000-15,000
  • Must be American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) members (free registration for students)

The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is a national nonprofit organization focused on substantially increasing the representation of Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) studies and careers.

This organization offers many opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate Indigenous students. The opportunities highlighted below are for graduate students.

AISES Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) Scholarship 2022-2023

  • For full-time graduate and undergraduate students in Washington State who are interested in aerospace careers
  • $5,000 per academic year

AISES A.T. Anderson Scholarship (2022-2023)

  • For full-time graduate or undergraduate students in any STEM related degree such as Architecture, Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Physical Science, Technology, Nursing, Engineering, or Natural Resources.
  • $2,000 for graduate students

AISES Apple Scholarship Program (2022-2023)

  • For full-time graduate or undergraduate students studying one of the following fields or similar: AI/ML, Software Development, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Cloud Computing, Computer Architecture and Engineering, Silicon Development, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
  • $15,000 for the academic year

AISES Chevron Scholarship (2022-2023)

  • For full-time graduate or undergraduate students studying Computer Science,
    Earth Sciences, Engineering: Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Geological or Geophysical, Mechanical or Petroleum, Health Environment and Safety, or Naval Architecture
  • $5,000 per academic year

AISES ExxonMobil Summer Fieldwork Scholarship 2022-2023

  • For undergraduate, MS, and PhD students’ geosciences field work and research for summer 2022
  • $3,000

AISES GeoComply Scholarship (2022-2023)

  • For full-time graduate or undergraduate students studying Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Analysis and Functional Analysis, Computer and Information Sciences, Computational and Applied Mathematics, Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, Computer Software Technician, Cyber/Computer Forensics & Counter, Cyber/Electronics Operations and , Cybersecurity , Data Modelling/Warehousing, Data Science, Engineering , Computer/Information Systems, Machine Learning, Pre-Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software engineering, Software development, Accounting, Business, Business Administration/Analytics, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications, and Human Resources.
  • $5,000 for academic year for graduate students

AISES Intel Growing The Legacy Scholarship Program (2022-2023)

  • For full-time graduate or undergraduate students studying Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, Physics, Software Engineering.
  • $10,000 per academic year for graduate students

AISES Splunk Scholarship (2022-2023)

  • For full-time graduate or undergraduate students studying Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Analysis and Functional Analysis, Computer and Information Sciences, Computational and Applied Mathematics, Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, Computer Software Technician, Cyber/Computer Forensics & Counter Terrorism, Cyber/Electronics Operations and Warfare, Cybersecurity, Data Modelling/Warehousing, Data Science, Machine Learning, Pre-Engineering, and Systems Engineering.
  • $10,000 per academic year for graduate students

AISES Aristocrat Scholarship (2022-2023) 

  • Due date (later than all other awards): Augus 31, 2022
  • For full-time graduate or undergraduate students studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and related fields.
  • $5,000 for academic year for graduate students
