Native American Graduate Fellowship in Tribal Policy

Application Deadline: May 19, 2023 11:59pm PST

  • For Native American, Alaska Native, and First Nations graduate students enrolled in a state- or Federally Recognized Tribe or Band; or a descendant of an enrolled member of a state- or Federally Recognized Tribe or Band
  • In healthcare-related fields including, but not limited to, health administration, health education, public health, medical practice, policy, research, or related-degrees
  • Must have completed at least one term of graduate school and be enrolled at least half-time for 2023-2024 school year
  • Two fellowships of $25,000 each from August 2023- August 2024
  • Restricted to U.S. permanent residents and citizens

The Morris K. Udall and John S. McCain III Native American Graduate Fellowship in Tribal Policy (Native American Graduate Fellowship) recognizes outstanding Native American and Alaska Native graduate students who are currently pursuing advanced degrees in health care fields—including, but not limited to, health administration, health education, public health, medical practice, policy, research, or related-degrees—and who have demonstrated a commitment to Native health care. The Native American Graduate Fellowship Program honors the legacies of Morris K. Udall and John S. McCain III.
