Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation: Graduate Scholarships

Each year Alpha Kappa Alpha offers Graduate Merit and Graduate Financial Need Scholarships.

To be eligible for the Merit Scholarship, a one-year one-time only award, the applicant must:

• Be a full-time student
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution;
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (“B” average);
• Demonstrate community service and involvement.

To be eligible for the Financial Need Scholarship, a one-year one-time only award, the applicant must:

• Be a full-time student
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution;
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (“C+” average);
• Demonstrate community service and involvement.

Graduate students may apply for both awards, but they will only be awarded one scholarship. Also, there are no citizenship restrictions for these awards.
