OSDI Graduate Staff Assistant- Spring24

The Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion (OSDI) is hiring a Graduate Staff Assistant (GSA) for the spring 2024 quarter. There is an option to return for the 2024-2025 academic year if the candidate meets the expectations of the listed job description.

Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Graduate Academic and Student Services, this position will function as a member of a three-person GSA team that has collective responsibility for several functions, including event planning, outreach, resource management, community research, social media maintenance, and survey distribution. Each team member will assume lead responsibility for a set of specific functions. Read the full position description here.

Each GSA is required to enroll full-time (10-credits) and works overall around 220 hours per quarter. All GSAs are required to participate in an onboarding and training process as well as participate in weekly three-hour planning and team meetings. Outside of pre-scheduled meetings and events, each GSA develops a weekly schedule ensuring the office maintains daily office hour availability for faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Any UW graduate student can apply for this position; those currently enrolled in a College of Education graduate program are preferred.
