Position: Student Assistant – Winter Quarter 2025
Compensation: $22/hr
Hours: 10 hrs per week, days/times are flexible.
Eligibility: Current UW graduate student enrolled in a Masters or PhD program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and compile a list of real estate finance and real estate development internships in the Seattle area, including application deadlines, hiring timelines and points of contact.
- Compile a list of the BS in Real Estate graduates’ employment information.
- Track data on undergrad real estate student internships.
- Provide event support with annual real estate career fair (February 2025), employer information sessions, and other departmental events.
- Research and build new relationships with real estate employers in the Seattle area; promote MSRE and BSRE student populations as potential candidates for internships and full-time jobs.
- Conduct outreach to Seattle area community colleges to promote Bachelor of Science in Real Estate program to prospective transfer students.
- Streamline mentorship program handbook for professional mentors: provide guidance to students on how to lead effective conversations with mentors.
- Identify current best practices for college student mentorship.
- Support administrator with assembling content for quarterly departmental newsletter.
- Create sample real estate student resumes and provide support with student resume reviews.
- Support Career Advisor with leading career development workshops as needed.
