Graduate Staff Assistant – Office of Graduate Student Equity & Excellence (GSEE)

The Office of Graduate Student Equity & Excellence (GSEE, formerly GO-MAP) is seeking a Graduate Staff Assistant (GSA) to join a highly collaborative team and serve a primary role in the overall coordination and implementation of programs and events that support outreach, recruitment, retention, and professional development initiatives focused on serving graduate students of color and underrepresented graduate students at the University of Washington.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a matriculated UW graduate student during the stated employment period
- Must be enrolled for a minimum of 2 credits during Summer Quarter 2023, and a minimum of 10 credits for Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters during academic year 2023 – 2024.
Salary and Benefits
- This position is eligible for a waiver of the operating fee and building fee portion of total state tuition, and a waiver of the technology fee. For current tuition and fee information and fee explanations please refer to the Office of Planning and Budgeting website.
- This is an Academic Student Employee (ASE) position governed by the UAW Contract and paid according to the Regular Salary Schedules.
- The monthly pay rate for an SA paid on Schedule 1 or Schedule 3 is $2,586 at the premaster level; $2,779 at the intermediate level; and $2,986 at the candidate level.
- SAs and their dependents may be eligible to receive UW-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage through the Graduate Appointee Insurance Program (GAIP); may be eligible for one personal holiday and up to 10 paid holidays; and may be awarded up to 28 hours of sick time off (prorated based on FTE).
