Graduate Teaching Assistant – PHRMCY 550 – W25 quarter

General Duties/Description:

PHRMCY 550 is a 5-credit capstone course that prepares Doctor of Pharmacy students for transition to Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE). Involves applying and integrating skills acquired from both the didactic courses and experiential training. Students will apply and integrate skills acquired from both the didactic courses and experiential training and be provided a “readiness check” for APPEs. The course meets on Mondays in Winter quarter, from 9:30 am – 2:20 pm. The lead instructors are Profs. Jasmine Mangrum, Brenna LS Molato, Joshua Villarreal, and Rachel Allen.

TA Responsibilities include:

  1. Support course instructors in grading assignments (mostly on UW Canvas)
  2. Manage course website as needed
  3. Triage student email communication as needed
  4. Oversee office hours and student makeups as needed
  5. Attend selected class sessions
  6. Proctor student assessments as needed

Requirements: Current graduate student with good communication skills and clinical background. Desired – Health Sciences Graduate student.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with academic standing, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for a full tuition waiver and all benefits of UAW Academic Student Employees. This position is paid at the Department of Pharmacy Regular (Non-Variable) rate (see salary charts here).
