Congratulations to Sonette Steczina who just received a graduate student fellowship from the UW Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (ISCRM) for her research.  Sonette is studying the contractile dysfunction and structural abnormalities of stem cell derived heart muscle cells from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients with a mutation in the protein myosin binding protein-C.
