Work Summary: To develop new biological therapies for human hearing loss and balance disorders by applying the most modern tools of molecular and developmental biology to repair or regenerate the damaged or non-functioning ear. Specific areas of interest include afferent innervation of the postnatal cochlea; feasibility of hybrid cochlear implants; and hair cell transcription.
