Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center

Support Our Work

The Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center is dedicated to gaining a better understanding of the human hearing and balance systems in order to decrease the global impact of disequilibrium, hearing loss and related communications disorders. With new threats to human hearing in our increasingly noisy modern world and a large aging population, the need for answers is accelerating.

Our exploration of innovative, cross-disciplinary approaches within these connected fields has established our reputation as a world-class scientific institution, guided by the philosophy that pursuing multiple solutions simultaneously will empower us to sooner improve the quality of life for our patients.

Contributions to the Center not only support our established projects to develop practical clinical and therapeutic solutions, they also help us dedicate resources to promising investigations not yet at a development phase to secure independent funding, and to facilitate the professional development of the next generation of student researchers.
