Renormalization Group and AQFT

  • The goal of this project is to formulate the renormalization group within algebraic quantum field theory as a rigorous limit by using the framework of bundles of C*-algebras. One benefit of this approach is that it makes clear a sense in which RG methods can be understood as providing structural approximations between theories defined at different scales.

Quantum Likelihoodism

  • The goal of this project is to analyze whether the tradition of likelihoodism in statistical foundations has any lessons for quantum mechanics. One specific application which I have investigated is whether we can take a likelihoodist interpretation of quantum state tomography. I presented this work at the QEBQM Summer Research Retreat.
