Undergraduate Research Assistants
Radiology 499 credits – Our students are involved in a variety of projects that support the lab’s studies, and have the chance to work in person with child and adult participants during their time in the Kleinhans Lab. We also provide opportunities for students to present research in the Mary Gates Research Symposium.
Students interested in working with our lab must be able to commit to a minimum of two quarters, as we feel that this is the best way to allow student the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities and broaden their skill set. All of our students are interested in gaining research experience and/or aspire to continue their education beyond the undergraduate level (medical school or graduate school).
Neuroimaging Research Training – Students that express an interest in learning image processing must spend at least two quarters in our laboratory participating in activities that support our ongoing studies, and additionally must reach a minimum level of proficiency in Linux/Unix as well as basic programming/scripting prior to learning image processing. This is not a guaranteed opportunity for all students and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
