Graduate Research Assistant
Erica Seely is a second-year graduate student in UW’s Medical Speech-Language Pathology Program. This year, she is a master’s thesis student at the LAND lab working under Dr. Bonnie Lau. She loves learning about functional applications for neuroimaging methods and is excited to learn more about the research process and research writing this year. For her thesis, Erica is investigating how neuroimaging has been used to study childhood speech perception across modalities.
Outside of academia you’ll find Erica outside, usually in the mountains. She grew up skiing on the East Coast and loves exploring the backcountry terrain that Washington has to offer. She is also a (very recreational) distance runner and am training for her first marathon next fall. Wish her luck!
