Undergraduate Research Assistant
Cynthia is a sophomore at the University of Washington studying Biochemistry. She hopes to attend graduate school after her undergraduate studies to earn a Master’s degree in Public Health. At the LAND Lab, she is working with Dr. Bonnie Lau to study the neural processing of sound in infants and children. Cynthia currently writes for the UW Daily and the Grey Matters Neuroscience Journal and is passionate about science education and communication. She also enjoys working with children through teaching and volunteering. She is excited to gain hands-on experience in the lab using EEG and MEG techniques while learning more about neuroscience and its connection to language learning, listening, and speech perception. In her free time, Cynthia enjoys spending time with friends, family, and finding good eats around Seattle.
