Madeline Chun

Medical Research Assistant

June 2022 – September 2022

Madeline is a first-year medical student at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She discovered a passion for serving children with neurodevelopmental conditions while she was a swim instructor for kids with developmental disabilities and while she was studying neurobiology and public health at the University of California, Berkeley. She envisions a world that embraces neurodiversity and one that is well-resourced to meet the needs of all different kinds of learners. She believes that partnering with neurodiverse families to advance our understanding of neurodivergent minds, like what we do in Dr. Lau’s lab, is key in building a more inclusive future for all. For fun, Madeline plays Chopin classics on the piano, is learning the Japanese art of amigurumi crocheting, and boulders every Friday with friends!
