Participating in research offers you and your child the opportunity to play an important part in improving our understanding of how children think and learn about the world! Our games are designed to be fun and engaging for children.
Your visit to the LCD Lab will begin with us meeting you at our parking spot outside our lab. One of our researchers will greet you escort you inside. Next, the researcher will get to know you and your child. Your child will play with toys while you fill out some forms and ask any questions you might have about the study. Then it’s time for science! Your child will play a short game with the experimenter that may involve toys, books, or a computer. You are welcome to stay with your child the entire time. When the games are done, your child will pick out a small toy as a thank you for participating, you will receive a $10 gift certificate, and the researcher will explain the purpose of the study.
