Early Education Centers and Schools
Early education centers (preschools, schools, infant education centers) constitute an important part of many children’s natural language learning environments.
We are interested in measuring and quantifying what children’s language environments look like at school, when teachers interact with them in one, two, or multiple languages. We use state-of-the-art technologies to measure children’s and teacher’s language production, and we evaluate children’s language abilities through fun, portable language games that can be administered on site!
Dr. Ferjan Ramírez has recently conducted two large scale language intervention studies in infant education centers in Madrid, Spain, one of which is summarized here.
