Work-based learning and Community/Industry & Academia Partnership Projects are central to the Milgard Center for Business Analytics (CBA). This makes it no surprise that the CBA is a leader in community engagement projects in UW Tacoma. In less than 7 years, the CBA has co-created value with:

The CBA has led nearly 85 Community/Industry & Academia Partnership Projects in the last 7 years.  The CBA’s MSBA program alone has conducted 85 projects (MSBA Applied Projects) in partnership with 355 MSBA students. Here is an overview of MSBA projects, both past and present:

Academic Year 2023-24

One cohort of 44 MSBA student consultants are currently working on 10 community engagement projects with the following organizations:

MSBA Applied Project Showcase - May 31, 2024 - 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

MSBA Students Partner with the City of Puyallup to Reinvent Economy

The City of Puyallup project was featured in an article in the Sept/Oct issue of Cityvision – The Association of Washington Cities Magazine. MSBA students helped the city create a COVID-19 post-pandemic plan to reinvent Puyallup’s economy.

Announcing the Winners of the 6th Annual MSBA Applied Project Showcase for AY 22-23

This year, a record number of nearly 500 participants attended the showcase event virtually.  Students and attendees were asked to vote for their favorite student MSBA projects and the winners are:
