Hope Robinson

Hope (she/they) is a second year PhD student in the McCoy Group. They earned their Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Physics (with a minor in Mathematics) from Clark University in Worcester, MA in May of 2023. During her time at Clark, Hope worked with Dr. Michael Boyer to investigate the room temperature charge density wave state in 1T-TaS2 using STM measurements. Outside of science Hope enjoys playing D&D, baking, crocheting, and drinking an only mildly concerning amount of iced coffee.

Research Interests: Investigating vibrational excited states of molecules using Diffusion Monte Carlo simulations
