Meredith Fore

Meredith is a 3rd-year physics graduate student from Naperville, IL. In 2013, she participated in an REU program with the Cornell Center for Materials Research at Cornell University, where she worked with Professor Craig Fennie. In 2015, she completed her B.S. in physics with minors in math and French from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she worked with Professor Taylor Hughes and was the president of the Society for Women in Physics for two years. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, reading, running, hiking, and meditation. She joined the McCoy group in the Summer of 2016.

Research Interests: Meredith has previously done research in theoretical condensed matter physics. Her current research uses diffusion Monte Carlo techniques to model highly-fluxional molecules such as protonated methane.
