Welcome

Current News (July 22): Our meeting proceedings, with schedule of presentations, author index, and paper abstracts, is now available. Please make sure to go to our Registration and Presentations page to register for this meeting; only registered attendees will receive the Zoom URL!

Neural Coding 2021 will be sponsored by the University of Washington, Bothell, July 26-30, 2021 and will be held online. Schedule and online access information will be sent to all participating authors.

This meeting spans the range of computational and theoretical neuroscience, in addition to experimental neuroscience informed by functional, theoretical, and computational considerations. It will be a single track multi-disciplinary event bringing together interdisciplinary researchers and creating a venue for conversation and sparking collaborations. Attendees of the workshop should thus be prepared to cross the borders of their own disciplines. This year is the first time that this meeting has been hosted in North America!

Over the period of four days, from Monday, July 26 through Thursday, July 29, you can expect a mix of half-hour oral presentations and poster sessions. There will be ample scheduled online events for conversation. Friday, July 30 is reserved for wrap-up and more in-depth work.

The following is a brief list of some topics from previous years, but these are meant as examples, not an exhaustive representation:

  • Brain-Computer Interfaces
  • Coupled Oscillators
  • Information Theory
  • Network Architecture
  • Network Dynamics
  • Probabilistic Models
  • Sensory Systems
  • Spike Train Analysis
